Private Ranch & Animal Tours in Nova Scotia
You don't need to stay in one of our domes to visit Wallace River Ranch. Private guided ranch tours are available by advance booking for visitors who would like a closer, hands-on experience with our animals.
Wallace River Ranch is home to a lovable crew of animals, each with their own personality. Depending on the season, you may meet:

Our ranch is primarily reserved for guests staying in our domes, helping us keep the property peaceful and relaxed. However, outside visitors are welcome to experience the ranch through a private guided ranch tour.
PRIVATE RANCH TOUR
Get a closer look at life at Wallace River Ranch with a private guided visit.
Your tour is guided by Eva, one of the ranch’s biggest animal lovers, who knows every animal and their unique personality. You’ll have the opportunity to meet the herd up close, visit the different animal areas, ask questions and enjoy some hands-on interaction where appropriate.
After your guided portion, you’re welcome to take a little extra time to enjoy the ranch and visit your favorites again.
Outside Visitors — Private Ranch Tour: $5/person, $15 minimum
Overnight Guests — Animal visits at your leisure are complimentary. Private guided animal tour: $15 per tour.
Kids under 2 free
Guests staying at Wallace River Ranch are welcome to visit the animals during their stay at no additional cost.

Please note that our guest domes are private accommodations and are not accessible during ranch visits.

Visitor Guidelines
To keep our animals happy and our guests safe, please follow these simple rules:

Do not feed animals unless feed is provided or permitted by staff.

Always approach animals calmly and gently - no chasing or shouting.

Children must be supervised at all times.

No climbing on fences or enclosures.

Wash or sanitize hands after animal contact.

No outside food, treats, or pets allowed.

Respect posted signs and staff instructions.

Use street parking only along the gravel road.

Do not pick up or sit on animals.

Please wear appropriate footwear.

Animal interactions are at your own risk.

Photos are welcome, but please no flash.

No smoking or vaping in or near the animal areas.

Weather may affect availability. (pony rides or tours may be paused in heavy rain or extreme heat.)
