  • What should I bring?
    When planning your stay, we encourage guests to consider bringing along groceries as our domes feature fully equipped kitchens for your convenience. While there are dining options available in nearby towns such as Pugwash (15 minutes away), Wallace (10 minutes away), and Tatamagouche (25 minutes away), having groceries on hand ensures you have everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Additionally, we recommend packing essentials such as your bathing suit, sun protection, and mosquito spray for outdoor activities. For visits during colder months, don't forget to pack weather-appropriate clothing and cozy indoor footwear like slippers or warm socks. If you're an outdoor enthusiast, feel free to bring along any recreational equipment such as kayaks, paddle boards, ATVs, or snowmobiles. With the picturesque Wallace River nearby and easy access to the TransCanada Trail, there's plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventures right at your doorstep.
  • What do you supply?
    Our Kitchens are equipped with all essentials Kitchen utensils, pots and pan, glassware, plates, cutlery etc. We have an electric stove in our domes with an oven and full size kitchen fridge with a freezing compartment.   • Are you pet-friendly?
    Pet Policy and Charges: At Wallace River Ranch, we appreciate the diverse needs of our guests. While we understand the importance of furry family members, our accommodations are currently not pet-friendly. Policy: Pets are not allowed in the dome. If evidence of a pet stay is discovered after departure, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee. Why: This policy is in place to ensure the comfort and well-being of all our guests, including those with allergies or sensitivities. Post-Departure Charges: In the event that evidence of a pet's stay is found after departure, additional charges may be applied to cover the costs of cleaning and any necessary restoration to maintain the quality of our accommodations.   • Unregistered Guests Policy
    At Wallace River Ranch, we prioritize the safety and comfort of all our guests. To ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for everyone, we have a policy regarding unregistered guests. Policy: Only guests included in the reservation are permitted to stay overnight in the dome. Visitors and gatherings with unregistered guests are not permitted. Why: This policy is in place to maintain a secure and controlled environment, respecting the privacy and safety of our registered guest. Additional Charges: Please note that non-compliance with this policy may result in additional charges to cover the cost of unauthorized guests and any associated issues. Consequences: Any violation of this policy may result in additional charges, eviction from the property, or other actions deemed necessary by the management. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we strive to create a positive and secure atmosphere for all our guests.   • What is the occupancy limit per dome?
    Overall maximum occupancy is 4 that includes children of all ages. Our rates are based on double occupancy; additional fees apply for children and extra adults. We assume that children under 6 will share the bed with their parents, as we do not believe the mezzanine is suitable for younger children. We ask our guests to respect the tranquil atmosphere of our property by refraining from hosting parties or loud gatherings. Our goal is to provide a peaceful retreat for all our visitors to enjoy. Our domes feature a King bed and two Twin bed in a mezzanine, accessible by a ladder. The mezzanine is not suitable for all ages, and the use is entirely at your own risk. Beds are only made up in the mezzanine when noted in the reservation, such as the adding the extra guests. For the comfort of all guests: only guests included in the reservation are permitted to stay on premises and use the facilities. Visitors and gatherings, loud music or parties, are not permitted. Any violation of this policy will result in automated $100 cleaning fee per person and may result in eviction from the property, or other actions deemed necessary by the owners.
  • Are children allowed?
    Of course! Families with children are welcome at our domes. However, please note that the maximum occupancy for each dome is 4 guests in total, which includes children. Our domes feature a comfortable King bed for adults, as well as two Twin beds located in a mezzanine area. It's important to mention that the mezzanine is accessible only by a ladder and may not be suitable for all ages, particularly young children or those with mobility limitations. Please be advised that the mezzanine is not recommended for all ages and may not be suitable for young children, particularly those under 6 years old, for safety reasons. For children under 6, we assume they’ll share the main bed with their parents. We kindly ask parents to help ensure children refrain from touching the dome’s window front with objects, as the specialized material can be damaged. Thank you for helping us keep the space in excellent condition for everyone’s enjoyment. Additionally, our Bear dome offers the added comfort of a private sauna. While families are welcome to enjoy all other amenities, we kindly ask that children refrain from using the sauna for safety reasons. Thank you for understanding, and we look forward to hosting your family for a memorable stay!
  • Is it big enough for 4 adults?
    Our domes are 550 square feet, with an open-concept layout featuring a King bed on the main level and two Twin beds in a mezzanine loft accessible by ladder. While it can accommodate 4 adults, there’s limited privacy, so we recommend booking two domes if members of your group prefer more space. If everyone is comfortable with a shared space, the our dome should be a great fit! Also, as a peaceful retreat, we are not suitable for loud bachelorette parties or lively gatherings of friends.
  • Is it warm enough in the winter?
    We want your stay with us to be as cozy and comfortable as possible! Each of our domes features a wood-burning fireplace to add warmth and ambiance to your evenings, along with an electric heater in the bathroom for added comfort. Additionally, we've installed heat pumps in every dome to help regulate temperatures. While our heating systems work hard to keep you warm, winter nights can still be chilly. We recommend bringing along some extra layers to stay snug and cozy during your stay. As part of our commitment to ensuring your safety and well-being, please understand that in extreme cases of cold temperatures, we may need to cancel reservations. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter.
  • What is the check-in/out time?
    Our standard check-in time is at 4:00 PM, with check-out at 11:30 AM. If you need to arrange for an early check-in or a late check-out, please don't hesitate to reach out to us in advance. While we strive to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability, please understand that due to circumstances beyond our control, we may not always be able to fulfill these requests. Your understanding and flexibility are greatly appreciated!
  • Can we visit the animals while staying there?
    Our friendly animals are always delighted to welcome visitors! You're welcome to explore and visit them during your stay by following the signs that point you in the right direction. While interacting with our goats or ponies, we kindly ask guests to remain outside the fenced area for everyone's safety. Please refrain from feeding them unless pre-approved by our staff. If you'd like a closer encounter with our adorable residents, feel free to send us a message, and we'll be happy to arrange a special experience for you.
  • Do you have a TV in your domes?
    We do have smart TV's in our domes. You can login with your Netflix account, Disney, etc. There is no cable TV!
  • What kind of bedding to you have?
    Mattress: The Stephanie mattress offers a medium-firm pillow top combined with individually wrapped pocket coils for a great night sleep. The lumbar support keeps the body level for less tossing and turning. Enjoy a temperature regulated sleep with cool fiber fill and bio foams. Pillows: As our favorite, our Bliss pillow delivers unparalleled support and comfort. Crafted with a padded microfiber grid, it ensures a restful night's sleep for guests seeking ultimate relaxation. Its hypoallergenic properties and quick rebound feature make it an ideal choice for every guest's comfort. Duvet: We have hypoallergenic winter duvets, crafted to provide the utmost comfort during colder months. Designed with sensitive sleepers in mind, these duvets offer cozy warmth without the worry of allergens.
  • Do you have Wi-Fi?
    We are offering complimentary Starlink internet for all of your favorite TV shows and movies.
  • Is it safe to stay during extreme weather conditions?
    Weather Advisory: Ensuring Your Safety and Comfort At Wallace River Ranch, your safety and comfort are our top priorities. As part of our commitment to providing a secure experience, we reserve the right to cancel reservations in the event of certain weather conditions, such as strong winds or extreme cold temperatures. Why: This precaution is taken to ensure the well-being of our guests and to maintain the integrity of our accommodations. How It Works: If weather conditions are deemed unsafe, we may need to cancel or reschedule your reservation. Our team will closely monitor weather forecasts and contact you in advance to discuss any necessary adjustments. Our Promise: While we strive to avoid disruptions to your plans, our primary concern is your safety. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in these situations.   • Is there water access?
    We're situated high on the riverbank of Wallace River, offering picturesque views. There are stairs leading down to the river bank with a viewing platform. For those looking to launch a kayak, a secure launch is conveniently located just two minutes down the road.
  • Hot tub care!
    We clean the filter and balance the chemicals after every guest. We use water test strip to balance the chemicals. We change the water more frequently than required. We ask our guests: - shower before using the hot tub - close the lid after each use - do not change any display settings - never turn off the hot tub - do not use any beverages in a glass while using the hot tub - for the comfort of all guest do not change the temperature below 95F
  • What are the cleaning standards?
    We take great pride in providing clean accommodation. Our cleaning standards are very high. We are "Clean it Right" certified. We mainly use white linen. Our beds are made with a fitted sheet and a duvet cover. (We do not have top sheets) All our linen/towels/blankets are getting washed after every guest.
  • What is the privacy policy?
    Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history.   • What is your reservation policy?
    Thank you for choosing Wallace River Ranch. Kindly review our Reservation Policy before booking: OCCUPANCY & Unregistered Guests Policy: Maximum Adult occupancy per dome is 4! Only guests included in the reservation are permitted to stay overnight in the dome. Visitors and gatherings are not permitted. BOOKING: The reservation is confirmed once your deposit is paid via credit card. We accept VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX. PET POLICY: At Wallace River Ranch, we appreciate the diverse needs of our guests. While we understand the importance of furry family members, our accommodations are currently not pet-friendly. Policy: Pets are not allowed in the dome. If evidence of a pet stay is discovered after departure, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee. CHECK IN/OUT POLICY: Once arrived for your stay you are fully responsible, even if you decide to leave early. No refunds. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIME: We ask that your respect our check in and check out time. If you do have an early check-in request; we will try our very best, but are unable to guarantee. SMOKING: Absolutely no smoking in our domes. Smoking outside with a minimum of 4m away from the domes. Minimum smoking fine is $1000 cad in our of our domes. NOISE CURFEW: 10 PM to 8 AM to ensure comfort for all we ask our guests to be respectful of others and adhere the quiet hours. Absolutely no parties! TV: We do have a smart TV in each dome. You can access your favorite streaming account. We DO NOT have cable TV. WI-FI: We offer complimentary Starlink WI-FI! CANCELLATION: At the time of booking, we will process 20% of your stay. You may cancel or change your reservation up until 14 days prior to your arrival date with only a $15 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 14 days, will result in your deposit being non-refundable. Cancellations within 7 days will result in the entire stay not being refundable. On or after the day of your arrival, any date changes or cancellation to the number of room nights for all or part of your stay will result in the processing of the full value of your stay that you originally reserved. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for unexpected cancellations. TAX RATE: The Nova Scotia Tax Rate is 15% STAYOVER SERVICE: We do not offer daily cleaning service, however if you require extra towels during your stay we will be happy to provide them. ADDITOINAL NOTES: Guests will be charged the full replacement cost for any damage or loss of Wallace River Ranch property, both inside and outside of the dome should they be reasonably responsible for said damage or loss. Our domes are not wheelchair accessible. For the enjoyment of guests, Wallace River Ranch has provided a private hot tub. Wallace River Ranch advises against the use of the hot tub by pregnant women, people under the influence of any drugs or alcohol, and those who have health conditions that may put them at a greater risk of injury. Water from the hot tub may cause surfaces to be slippery and extra caution should be taken when wet. Chemicals in the hot tub may not be suitable for everyone. Chlorine and bromine—two chemicals used to disinfect water and keep the hot tub sanitized, can cause swimsuit materials like Lycra® brand spandex (elastane) to fade or wear out over time. By continuing your booking with Wallace River Ranch you are releasing owner, management, and staff of any and all liability associated with irresponsible use of amenities provided including, but not limited to, the mezzanine and the hot tub. The mezzanine is not suitable for all ages. It is entirely at your own risk to use the mezzanine. Use of Wallace River Ranch property, amenities and grounds is entirely at your own risk. Domes are made of heavy vinyl and can be punctured, any damage incurred during your stay will result in a damage fee to be determined by the replacement cost of vinyl through manufacturer. This property is privately owned and management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, and will not be responsible for accidents or injury's to guests or for loss money, jewelry, or valuables of any kind. Wallace River Ranch is not responsible for any damages or loss of personal items. No shows are subject to be charged the full amount of their stay. Kindly do not leave any food outside.

  • Lost and Found
    Please be aware that any perishable food or drinks left behind will be discarded immediately. Non-perishable items will be stored for up to three months. Guests are responsible for covering the shipping costs for any items they wish to have returned. Please note that we do not actively contact guests regarding lost items.
