Stretch your legs and explore the peaceful surroundings of Wallace River Ranch. Take a gentle stroll along our pasture path, where grazing animals and open fields create a relaxing countryside setting.

 

For those looking for a longer adventure, the Trans Canada Trail is just two minutes away, offering miles of scenic routes for walking, cycling, and snowshoeing through the beautiful Nova Scotia countryside.

Ranch Animals

Spending time with our ranch animals is one of the most special parts of a stay at Wallace River Ranch. Our friendly Highland cow, curious goats, fluffy Babydoll sheep, playful ponies, chickens, and seasonal pigs bring a calm and joyful energy to the property.

Interacting with animals has a natural way of helping people slow down, smile more, and feel connected to the moment. Whether you’re visiting them in the pasture or joining a guided tour, time with the animals creates simple, memorable moments for guests of all ages!

Join one of our guided animal tours, led by Eva (age 10), our youngest and most passionate ranch hand.

 

For $15, guests can enjoy hands-on time with our friendly ranch animals and learn more about life on the farm.

Pony Rides with Daisy

Meet Daisy, our sweet and gentle pony who loves giving rides to little cowboys and cowgirls. Pony rides are perfect for young riders up to 75 lbs (recommended minimum age: 3).
 

- Rides take place in a fenced riding pen and include three rounds for $15.

 

- For older kids, Hickory (our horse) is also available, with rides priced at $20 for three rounds.
